The Sunday Post // June 23, 2019
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. This is an opportunity to recap the week, share what is happening in life, and share news of what is upcoming over the next week (or so).
Tidying up is still going on. So if you see anything ~ iffy ~ let me know.
This week has had its busy moments. A few weeks back we had a roof leak, which was fixed, but now have discovered it wasn’t as small as originally thought. Our tiles in our shower started falling out and we have now discovered the leak rotted the inside wall of our shower. So we are in a DIY mode as we are replacing/fixing our shower. The shower is now bare bones and we seem to be making no headway. Hopefully, next week! Fingers crossed!
That’s about enough to keep me busy! I’m sure those pesky little things will pop up this week, but so thankful for a stay-cation coming up soon with the Fourth of Juky right around the corner.
I hope everyone has a great week. Enjoy this week’s short and sweet post!
I’m looking for book bloggers that are interested in hosting tours. I’ve had a few new/indie authors that have asked me to possibly do tours for them and, although nothing has been decided on, I’m putting together a list of tour hosts should they move forward. You can read more here.

Good reading!
Oh no! I hope you get things sorted soon and the shower back to normal.
I had something like that happen here at the place I am renting and it’s a pain to get the landlord to tell you who you can call and then try to convince them you have to have a shower. I like it much better when I own and can just handle it. I hope it gets fixed quickly and you can just enjoy your holiday. Happy reading.
Anne – Books of My Heart recently posted…Sunday Post – 23 June 2019
Oh, a bathroom reno! such a lovely place to be in. I recently had a new bathtub and tile installed with a new set of faucets and it looks so nice. Sparkly and clean, because I had a leaky faucet. However, I live in a housing complex so I didn’t have to pay for it. Lucky me. and I couldn’t wait to soak in my new tub. I bought a bath pillow and tub mat and now I need to stock up on Lush bath bombs lol.
Thanks for stopping by, Nicci. I am looking forward to placing the final tile and having a normal shower back.
Thanks for stopping by, Jackie. The bathroom is supposed to be where you can just relax…I’ll be glad when I get mine back to do just that. Sounds like you are going to be in heaven once you have the bath bombs ready to soak!
Our shower pipes were leaking into the wall and we had to have them replaced last year. Thankfully they hadn’t done too much damage but it was a pain to have done, and expensive!
Have a great reading week
Thanks, Shelleyrae, for stopping by. It’s been a nightmare in some ways. I didn’t want to do the work, but after the roof, I just didn’t want to have to pay for more work. The part we have to do is not too bad, but certainly not fun.
Hi, Anne. Thanks for stopping by. I’ve both rented and owned, and in some ways it’s great to just fix it and not worry about someone else having to make the decision. But, I can say, I didn’t mind when it was someone else’s responsibility to pay for it.
